Founded by Amy Urman, Nosy Wilma blends a passion for research with the precision of professional investigation. Amy is a licensed private investigator and professional genealogist with over two decades of experience in research, documentation, and record analysis. Before launching Nosy Wilma, she spent more than twenty years working with a law firm, honing her skills in locating and reviewing court, agency, business, and archival records.
Amy completed the Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University and is a graduate of the ProGen Study Program. She has pursued advanced training in areas including law, land records, genetic genealogy, and forensic genealogy, and she regularly shares her expertise through lectures and workshops at genealogy conferences and local societies across the country.
Dedicated to professional service and community involvement, Amy is a co-founder and past president of the Pima County Genealogy Society. She also serves on the National Genealogical Society Delegate Steering Committee and the Association of Professional Genealogists Forensic Genealogy Group, and she’s active in numerous professional and historical organizations. Her memberships include the Arizona Association of Licensed Private Investigators, Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, DAR Tucson Chapter, and the Arizona Historical Society.
